Some students have privacy concerns when a Cal Poly professor created an app that tracked students’ GPS locations for class attendance reasons, but the professor said that there are protections to prevent abuse of the data and tracking tools.
Cal Poly is hiring a diversity consultant for the tune of $243,000 and he will be required to be on-site for only 15 of the 38 days, which is the duration of the contract.
