Students at George Washington University narrowly voted in favor of renaming the university’s mascot from a Colonial to either a hippopotamus or another animal, because a Colonial is too problematic.
George Washington University students voted to change their Colonials mascot, which is in the likeness of Founding Father and first American president George Washington, because it may not be inclusive enough.
