Portland State University’s administration has been besieged by leftist student activists to back off its 2014 decision to arm its campus police force. For the past six years, the student activists under the “Disarm PSU”…
Student protests continue to go on at Portland State University, pushing for the disarming of its campus police a year after campus police officers shot and killed a black male, who was reaching for a gun that had dropped to the ground during a dispute with others.
Anti-campus police protesters disrupted a student’s testimony before the board of trustees, which student was arguing in favor of keeping campus police officers armed in case of emergencies.
Apparently, Georgetown University does not arm its campus police officers with sidearms, but with pepper spray and batons. One group at the university is petitioning the university to change that practice.
Instead of joining leftist student demands to disarm campus police at Stony Brook University, the College Democrats asked administrators to have mandatory school shooting trainings.
