The Israel Project (TIP) is pleased to
invite all filmmakers
, writers and other artists around the world with a passion
for
Israel to submit entries for a first-ever
contest commemorating
Israel’s founding 60 years ago.

TIP will award a total of $20,000 to the winning submissions in each of the
following formats:

·         
Television Advertisement (30 seconds)

·         
Video (30 seconds – 7 minutes)

·         
Printable Flyer (8 ½ x 11 inches)

 

Entries will
be accepted in English
, French, Spanish, German, Arabic and Russian and must be submitted
March 31 – June 30.
They must be factually accurate and focus on any topic in The Israel Project’s Israel@60 press
kit
, which highlights Israel’s constant commitments to freedom, democratic values and peace.

Topics in the kit range from freedom of the press and religion
to rights for women, Arabs and minorities. Other subject matters
include innovations in alternative energy; voting and political rights;

Israel’s ongoing efforts for peace;
and its leaders’ recent statements about striving for peace.



TIP, which has a multi-lingual Web site, is dedicated to providing
journalists and others accurate information about
Israel and the Middle East. To access the English-language

The winning 30-second ad in English
will air on CNN at the Democratic and
Republican national conventions.

 

Voting on
television advertisement and video entries will take place via youtube.com and
will be taken into consideration by the judges in determining the winners.

Israel advocates worldwide to use their
creativity to share their passion for

The winning entries will be posted online on youtube.com, a free service, with the goal of providing materials
to those who want to learn more about
Israel.

Rules for submission:

1.      
All
contest participants must fill out a registration form(hyperlink)
to enter.

2.      
Submissions
must emphasize the topics included in the fact sheets in
The Israel Project’s: Israel@60 package(hyperlinked).

3.      
All
information for TV and video entries must be accompanied by a written
, footnoted transcript and emailed
to sarahm@theisraelproject.org with the title of the submission as the subject
line.

4.      
Flyers
must contain footnotes and photo credits and emailed to sarahm@theisraelproject.org
with the title of the submission as the subject line.

5.      

Any
entry not accompanied by footnotes or found to be factually inaccurate will be
disqualified.

6.      
Flyers
must be submitted in pdf format and emailed to sarahm@theisraelproject.org

7.      
TV
and Video entries must be submitted via YouTube at www.youtube.com/group/israel60

according to YouTube upload intructions.

8.      
Upon
notification
, winners must submit TV and video entries in a high quality DVD format.

9.      
All
submissions — TV
, video and print — whether selected or not, become the sole and exclusive
property of
The Israel Project.
