The Word ‘It’ could be a Gender Neutral Pronoun, said Lecturer

A lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh suggested that the word “it” could be used as a gender neutral pronoun.

Another example of a gender neutral pronouns is “Xe.” Sound like a good use of taxpayer dollars to go over gender identity, gender neutral pronouns and the like?
