Transgender Flag Goes Missing and Outrage Ensued, but Flag Mysteriously Reappears

A transgender flag flew outside the Queer Resource Center, which serves the Claremont Colleges in southern California. One day, it disappeared, and the center’s director told students via e-mail that they had filed a “campus safety” report. Or, in other words, they believed it was a hate crime.

But, a few days later, the flag was returned. Yet, the center would not comment on why they thought it was a hate crime to begin with.
