University of New Orleans Views Valentine’s Day Notes as Sexual Harassment
This is not a joke: The University of New Orleans claims that a Valentine’s Day note could constitute a form of sexual harassment. These love notes are classified by the university as sexual harassment, unless they meet the U.S. Supreme Court legal standard.
That standard is defined as “peer-on-peer harassment in the educational context as conduct that is, “so severe, pervasive, and objectively offensive, and that so undermines and detracts from the victims’ educational experience, that the victim-students are effectively denied equal access to an institution’s resources and opportunities.”
