The University of California-Berkeley is working towards getting a student of theirs to be released from the Border Patrol detention facilities. Luis Mora was detained at the U.S.-Mexico border after visiting Tijuana, Mexico with his girlfriend and he is studying pre-law classes, according to his girlfriend.

The university and College Democrats are attempting to petition the Border Patrol to let Mora go because of his alleged clean criminal history.
