Anytime you put the words ‘consent’ and ‘carnival’ together, you don’t really get a good feeling about this type of event:

The University of Southern California Student Government has approved a “Consent Carnival” event for this semester, which will provide a festive atmosphere in which to discuss sexual consent.

Student Sen. Jacob Ellenhorn told Campus Reform that the event was approved at a Senate meeting on January 19 as part of a package of activities proposed by the Queer and Ally Student Assembly (QuASA), an umbrella organization that devises programming for “several different queer student groups” on campus.
