Williams College Students Reject Pro-Israel Student Group Application

Students at Williams College, a small, private liberal-arts college in Massachusetts, rejected an application of a pro-Israel group to organize on its campus. The group, called the Williams Initiative for Israel (WIFI), was rejected by the college council, which is composed of students. Some of those opposed to the group’s formal registration claimed that the group’s representatives did not answer their questions adequately, such as the group’s stance on alleged Israeli-government-sanctioned violence against Palestinians and other pro-Palestinian talking points.

The group’s application was rejected by a 13-8 vote.
